Katherine Grant an itinerant writer responded to the call for squatters and occupied the space for a period of seven weeks. Her daily activities were streamed on to the squat homepage via a webcam placed in her room and she communicated with writers and others via the internet. During her squat occupation Katherine encouraged hundreds of visitors to leave some memento of their visit in the form of drawings or statements on the wall which was subsequently videotaped. She published several of her short essays and was interviewed by reporters from webnews.com. See interview
